Pictures! Pictures! Pictures! | |
Those are pretty. I've been to Asheville, but not to Maggie Valley. Beautiful country.
Yeah...these are all in Haywood County around Maggie Valley. We loved that place we stayed with the mountain river running behind us. We would open the sliding door to the balcony and turn on the heat! Man that was good sleeping!
vanmuzak wrote on Apr 25, '10, edited on Apr 25, '10 Had a look on your map (which is up on my wall) and found Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway Dve - AND Maggie Valley. LOL. Really want to check these pics out.
LOL. Nice angle. Cheryl, what are you doing??? hehe.
4995 feet? now that's high. That's 1522.5 metres. I went through Mt Victoria here yesterday (the highest point in the Blue Mountains, NSW) about half an hour west from my place and the height is 1043 - 1064 metres asl. (3490.8 feet). Wow.
Wow. Aren't they beautiful - and they just seem to go on forever.
LOL. You know you're back to civilisation when you see the golden arches in the distance. hehe.
My god, it's getting higher! hehe. Love it!
Jay, was that you or Cheryl who made those donuts? hoons.
Getting me some rocks! That water was soooo cold, you could see little sparkles like tiny flecks of gold in there. I was hoping for a nugget !!! lol

What a lovely setting for accommodation. Beautiful. These are great pics Jay and Cheryl.
Thanks Cheryl. Been working my butt off - will get there soon - would love you to show us around one day. Van. xox.
vanmuzak wrote on Apr 25, '10, edited on Apr 25, '10 The water looks crystal clear - and yeah it looks cold. Looks like a swimming hole for summer too. Those flecks might be gold?? :-/ Yeah, what we need's a gigantic nugget. Good work, Cheryl. Keep lookin'. I will keep lookin at this end.
Beautiful photos of a beautiful place!
Wow, what a beautiful place!! I want to go hiking there! All the more reason to make a trip to NC some day!
Nice picture of Cheryl enjoying nature.
Wow, look at that granite face!
Nice pose Chery! I didn't know you were a nature girl too! :-)
These pictures are great. Reminds me of my many trips to Tennessee. Am very familiar with the Blue Ridge Parkway. I have kinfolk in Tennessee and spent alot of time there in my younger days. A couple years ago we rode the Harley's down and stayed in Gatlinburg. We rode the Blue Ridge into NC. So beautiful!
I love it Cheryl. And I know how cold that water is! Even in the hottest of summer that water is cold. My uncle used to throw coins in (when I wasnt looking) and I really thought I was finding alot of money!
I can just picture Jason coming up from behind and giving you a little push!
Just beautiful. Both the scenery and Cheryl !
Yeah..this should be called Acca Dacca Ridge!
Great pic of Cheryl at Cold Mountain! Rick and I also visited the Maggie Valley around 1996.
You look like you're King of the mountain here Jason! Such a beautiful site to visit...God's country!
