for everyone
Here's a few pictures I scanned in of my 1968 Camaro that I had from the time I was about 15 around 1979 until I was in college at NC State. This was a fast 12 second car qtr mile street/strip car that was my main rompin'-stompin' hell on wheels for about 8 or so years until I finally sold it and moved on to other cars. This car has lots of great memories including one of mine and Cheryl's first dates to the drag strip where I think I impressed her a bit with a win and a trophy against another hot 69 camaro. Nancy had posted a few pictures of their 'Vette and thought I would post a few of my hot rod!

For any hot-rodders out there here were some of the goodies equipped on my 68 Camaro:
- 350 4-bolt main bored over 60 with forged TRW Crank & Pistons
- Crane Blazer Cam
- 850 cfm dual line, double pumper Holley Carb
- Accel Dual Point Racing Distributor
- MSD Ignition amplifier
- Hooker headers & custom dual exhaust
- 1970 'Vette Turbo 400 build with all B&M Parts
- B&M Stall Converter
- B&M Quicksilver shifter
Moroso Valve covers, Micky Thompson 8 qt racing oil pan and other goodies
- 12 bolt 393 Posi-traction/limited slip rear end
- 35 lb fiberglass front end (5 lb hood!)
- Jensen RE518 Stereo cassette head unit, with 200 watt per channel amp and Pioneers in the back to kick out the jams
- Custom diamond-tuck interior
- Customer rear fender flairs
- 275-15's BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires mounted on Keystone Classic Rims

Very nice wheels! I dig the pattern on the seats too, and the metal side mirrors.

First date was the drag races?

Our first date was the horse races! And yes I won!

;-)

One of our first dates was to the drag strip. The car had diamond-tuck interior and of course lots of performance equipment. The entire front end only weighed only 35 lb...all fiber glass. I will post scan and post some more pictures later.

All I know is, it looked good and must have sounded good too! Music and engine both.

Is that plastic on the seats? Great color.

That car had a helluva sound. Wish I had some video of it in action. The seats did not have plastic...they were just cleaned and amoralled with the sun reflecting on them. I kept my stuff clean.

I've loaded more pictures of the 68 including one of my 4 Wheel Drive with the 8" lift and big 40" tires.

Love it, that Armor All does have some wicked shine to it!

Very nice car. You can tell it has been taken care of. My brother had an older mustang he had bought. That he used to show in car shows. He fianlly found a buyer for his car.. A guy in another state.. He made pretty $ wise on the sale. That is cool that you have your car. We all wish we had cars that we had when we were young.

Deb, I haven't had that car since the late 80's. Nancy had posted one of their 'Vette they had in the day. I also had a very cool looking 1985 IROC-Z Camaro after the 68 that I will post some pictures of. The 68 was a hot, fast car but not practical for going to college and working in Raleigh, NC at that time.

Hey Jason, I sure enjoyed some of those Rides in this Car when I was Younger, I am showing it to Byron and He just told Me He had a 1967 Rally Sport Camaro painted exactly like Yours! Cool!!

Yep...we all had some good times in that Red Rocker!
