Pictures! Pictures! Pictures! | |
| Although I have seen many of these photos before, I never tire of seeing the inside of you and Cheryl's "Labor of love". YOUR HOME!! BTW, the work on your home and yard from then till now, is amazing...kinda looks bare in these photos, by comparison! |
| I LOVE THE REFRIGERATOR WITH ALL THE ELVIS! |
| THE LIVING ROOM IS EVEN BETTER. ELVIS IS IN THE HOUSE! |
| The Den? Even better. How many of those stand ups do you and Cheryl have????? |
| Is Elvis in the kitchen too??? |
| And there's the picture of all those generations up on the wall. |
| This has to be Cheryl's spot. |
| This room is really neat. Love the wall treatment. |
| This house is so lovingly put together, it shows in every single room. Love the outside, love the inside. I think the people who went on the tour must have loved it. Thanks for sharing your home with the rest of us. It just shows what loving , sweet people you both are. |
 | Jason, your house is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside! Is is listed as a historical landmark or with the historical society? |
| Liana, It is listed as a contributing building within the Garner Historic Distric, so yes my house is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Not only is the house, but also the old cook house we are working on.
You can also have a house/building individually listed but they are super restrictive on what you can or cannot do. I am sure I could easily get it individually listed but see us doing that later in life as we finalize our ever changing changes!!!!
I hope to post much more about our old house in the weeks, months and years to come. Multiply makes it so easy to share pics, videos, etc and have a ton of stuff on our old house. You've basically seen just bits and pieces here and there. It's just our old home and I have some major projects left but we love it. Like Graceland, I plan to keep our old fixer upper as long as I can draw breath!

 | Jason, you and Cheryl have done a wonderful job fixing up that "old house". Every room has a special touch and I love the antiques and of course all of the Elvis. I love those massive speakers too! I bet you can really blast AC/DC and Elvis! Did you have to get a lot of permits to fix up that tool shed/cookhouse? It's really looking great! I would love to have that shed! |
| I haven't gotten a permit yet for the old shed/cookhouse! .....LOL Just replacing boards for something already there usually doesn't requre a permit. ..
|
 | You & Cheryl have a very beautiful home. |
 | What did everybody think about all your Elvis when they took the tour? |
| jasonedge wrote on Apr 18, '09, edited on Apr 18, '09 Most of them said WOW! On the Christmas Tour 2004 (see other photo album) I opened up my office room. My dad had a blast telling those that said I had an Elvis museum aught to see the office room over the garage! The 2003 Historic tour and the 2004 Christmas Tour were great times......times that I know were very happy times for my dad, Sam and special to me. |
 | Just beautiful and yes WOW |
