I had started posting some of our pictures to the UK in 2006 a while back and thought I would jump back in and post some more. These are from our trip to North Berwick with Marion and Trevor Meech, and later the Edinburgh, Military Tattoo held in a stadium next to the Edinburgh, Castle. Our entire 3 week trip was spectacular and seems like every day was full of really cool adventures such as these.
If you will notice on the North Berwick pictures, that is Bass Rock out in the harbor. There are thousands of birds - gannets native to the island which itself is a volcanic rock which I believe I read is thought to have been thrown out of a volcano. The Military Tattoo is held 3 weeks each year in a stadium next to the Edinburgh Castle. We were lucky to have Sean Connery present during the 2006 military tattoo which you will see in the pictures. We've got tons of video from the Military Tattoo. This was incredible ..and something everyone should see once in their life. Might try to post some videos at some point.
I love Scotland and go there often, a lot of the shots are familiar , but not been to the Tattoo .. My son and his family live right across the Forth Bridge. Maybe in a few years.!
